magnus is designed as a space destined for large scale art, thus contributing to the development of a niche of artists who take work in finding a suitable indoor space for their work. The gallery accommodates in residence only one artist/ work of art per year, which becomes available for the public during warmer months (May – October).
Art galleries suitable to accommodate large scale art, sculptures, and installations are a scarcity in Romania, a country with a recent appeal for its contemporary artists and repurposing of industrial spaces.
nano is a space intended for regular usage by artists interested in a residence within the Factory, or for solely for exhibition purposes. A small space, nano welcomes daring art projects, installations or digital creatives to share their stories and visions with an audience of art natives or younger audiences.
The space is also intended to be used in reference to the actual setting of the gallery within an industrial building, our aim is to establish a space of dialogue with the community, integrating stories from the factory into various art/ visual projects.
